Willy Russell's comic, thought-provoking and entertaining play, so well-known in the UK and so not in France, brought to life on stages in the South of France. The Pygmalion myth re-invented in the person of Rita, of minimal education but wanting to learn - everything! - and ending up losing what made her difference. But at least Frank has given her a choice.

A minimalist set, designed by Maggie Stephens, focusses the attention on one of the play's messages; that people can be put in boxes as a result of their birth, upbringing, or education. Can we get out of our box, or will it slam shut on us?
